Last friday,I had to speak few words for Naik Ma'am (Our chemistry lab incharge) on her farewell .
Although I had limited interaction with her,as she didn't take any of our practical classes, but whenever we had to work in the chemistry lab,we used to meet her and she had always been very kind and friendly with us.She used to take so much of interest in our experiments,by getting so much involved in our technical expedition ,guiding us in handling the equipments and in preparing the experimental data. She was really our LIFELINE as far as completing our practical was concerned! I just can't can't imagine doing it all alone without her help and guidance-TRULY speaking!:)
Anyway, this was just to give you all a backgroud of my association with Ma'am.Now,let me come to the point that I really want to emphasize here.
You know I had never expected that her farewell would leave such a lasting impression on me,but it really moved and inspired me so much that it led me to a REALIZATION -Your WORDS have the POWER to touch lives which is AMAZING yet TOUCHING sometimes.
I saw her eyes welled up and tears falling down from them, when I was speaking for her.I never knew my words could mean so much to somebody I had just known for a while...it then striked me that we should be GENEROUS in complimenting others if they really deserve it! Your one word can BRIGTHEN up somebody's day, somebody's life!-this was one thing...
Another : Normally in farewells we see people speaking good-good things about the one who's leaving, but this farewell was different...In this farewell her entire life till now was brought ALIVE-which was another inspiration as she had overcome many grave challenges in her life with her sporting and lively spirit.Hats off to her!-so in a way we also got a message to live life as it comes and to the fullest!-simple sentence with a profound meaning!
Last but not the least,It made me re-affirm that, the most difficult part of life is departing...and it will always remain so! Don't you agree?:)
God bless Naik Ma'am and her family with the best of everything!
"Lives of great men,all remind us,
we can make our lives sublime.
And DEPARTING leaves behind us FOOTPRINTS on the sands of time....
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Miss all those I had met and lost and won't meet again in this lifetime....God bless them!:)
Yes...But i hope we will for sure meet :)...and yes , It's very true that usually people are short of compliments for others...the thing they most need...all of us most need...I hope I am not short of them anytime and so I beginn...You are quite an insightful person...I really mean it!! HAND!!
